huh?

you know, i'm just lying here and thinkin, and i still can't get over the whole european pub thing, i mean, i just doesn't add up. there you go to a pub at almost my age if i remember right, everybody in town gets drunk, and goes awaddlin back home singing a funny song. here, only the saddest of the sad and 2osome year olds who still don't know whats goin on go, get drunk, then get arrested/kill somebody. somethin just ain't right, and i don't know what it is. why am i even typing this?

Ah, you have it a little off- in the UK, people go to a pub to be social. They may drink, but they don't drink to get drunk. If they want to get drunk, they go to clubs, or drink at home first until the clubs open, and *then* go to the clubs and get even more drunk. Then the violence starts- I think I may have blogged about the phenomenon of 'happy slapping' at some point.
Most UK pubs are very social cheerful places, and you can get by with drinking lightly.

Scary Go Round is lovely, but not necessarily a truthful picture of UK life. *laughs* I absolutely love Dark Esther's outfits.

You might have to check with Duamuteffe about the happy slapping thing- I think that was an email and not a blog post. If you look it up on Wiki you'll get an idea, though.
